ARTA Welcomes
Support Staff of School Boards or Post Secondary Institutions!
As a support staff of School Boards or Post Secondary Institutions, you are eligible to join ARTA and apply for one of ten Benefit Plans available. ARTA offers a variety of coverage levels for extended health care, emergency travel coverage and dental care. With an ARTA membership, support staff of School Boards or Post Secondary Institutions will also be eligible for the ARTA Perks discount program, the ARTA scholarship program, various wellness initiatives and much more.
Eligibility
- Retired employees (support staff) of school boards universities, colleges, and technical institutions provided they contributed to an Alberta government pension plan for five or more years or their surviving spouse
- Retired employees (support staff) of the Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) who have contributed to an Alberta government pension plan for five or more years or their surviving spouse
- Active support staff of schools boards, universities, colleges and technical institutions who lose their benefit’s plan coverage because they exceed an eligible age limit as determined by their benefit plan provided they have contributed to an Alberta Government sponsored pension for five (5) or more years or their surviving spouse
